Cayo Coco is located to the north of the province of Blind person of Avila, is to 500 kilometers of Havana and to 600 of Santiago of Cuba, it comprises of the archipelago Gardens of the King, in front of the "Old Channel of the Bahamas", together with the island of Cuba by pedraplén of 27 km, that cuts the sea. Cayo Coco, with its 370 square kilometers of surface can be considered an island.

everything a virgin atmosphere characterize to this place. Endemic tropical nature, great spots of sibalos, palometas and pacualas, asi like great pargos, mere and barracudas. The reefs in Cayo Coco have a length of 32 km approximately and are well known by their chorales and varieties gorgonias and sponges, can be found, in addition, other species like the ray, blankets and turtles.

It exists an abundant presence of ibis white (popularly known like Coco bird) and one without even colony of flamenco pink that lives to the south of the cayo and which they give an unusual spectacle, preferably or early in the morning or to the dusk.

The vegetal forests and other formation cover near 90% of their territory. Account also with several inner lagoons, ideal habitat for diverse species of the fauna, and with two interesting interpretativos footpaths: the one of the dune of the Hill of the Port and the one of the Dolinas.
